europeans have types of racism i didn’t even know existed
you can drive for two hours in europe and pass through 17 different types of racism
Daily reminder that the actual World War II Nazis were trying to exterminate different types of white people that most Americans can’t tell apart just by looking
Meanwhile the Japanese were doing their own race war in Asia against other Asians that most Americans aren’t even aware are different races
In short: the almost literally black and white racism type of thinking in America, shockingly, doesn’t apply to the rest of the world!
I am fucking sick of americans and their “it’s not racism it’s xenophobia so it’s fine and I am very smart 🤓🤓🤓”
Yes, there is xenophobia. Between nations that perceive each other as weird but equal. The “weird but equal other”. Like Brits s French. But if you move east of Germany and south of Rome, there is the “inferior other”. The “never quite European”. The filthy savage. Lazy, corrupt, hateful, dirty. And that element of superiority that goes on a systematic level, beyond silly “haha moustache pizza baguette” joke makes it racism and it gets worse the further east and south you go.
I remember one year Americans were like “Eurovision presenters aren’t diverse, they’re three white men” like???
They were from different cultures, spoke several languages on stage and MY DUDES, THIS IS EUROVISION.
That’s quite literally the definition of diversity.
But yeah, Americans very often see diversity as only skin deep and they’re capable of looking you straight in the eye and say that these two guys who speak the same language, eat the same food, wear the same clothes, listen to the same music, watch the same movies, do the same sports etc are “diverse” because they have different melanin levels, whereas people who are literally different on every single forementioned aspect - and therefore whose encounter is extremely culturally enriching, unless of course they kill each other instead - are somehow not “diversity” because an American is unable to translate it on a superficial level 🤦🏻♀️
“if no art makes you feel anything, make your own art and feel something” is too raw of a line to have come from a jenna marbles video of her painting a rainbow/polka dot seahorse saying “it’s seahorse time” on a denim jacket
Why do you people feel profound thought has to come from high places? The gutter looks at the stars too
not only did you prove your point, but you showed an example of it in the same sentence
You really have to give the architect a 5 star thumbs up for his vision in building this place …
the town’s name is dixon
the longer you look at it the funnier it gets
Dude, this is the city I was born in. I know exactly which building that is, I HAVE BEEN TO THIS BUILDING, I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT WHAT IT WOULD LOOK LIKE FROM ABOVE
